UC Football Falls Six Spots in Latest Recruiting Rankings

Cincinnati is still firmly in the top-25 schools nationally for 2023.

CINCINNATI — Sports Illustrated unveiled its latest 2023 football recruiting rankings, and Cincinnati fell six spots to No. 21.

"The Bearcats have a balanced group with play-making skill players and an Elite 11 finalist en route," John Garcia wrote.

Cincinnati is third in the ranking among permanent Big 12 schools behind Texas Tech (No. 20), and Baylor (No. 16).

Around the other four major recruiting services, UC is hovering near the top 20 nationally: On3 (27th), Rivals (19th), ESPN (22nd), and 247Sports (22nd). That leaves UC with an average spot of 22.2 nationally across all five rankings. A drop from 20.4 nationally in late August.
