CINCINNATI — UC head coach Luke Fickell held his first weekly press conference of the season this week and continued the mystery behind the Bearcats' starting QB spot.

He confirmed the team knows who is starting against Arkansas on Saturday, but wouldn't reveal who's running out for the first snap to the media.

This building suspense comes as no surprise, given there are only so many ways to gain an advantage on opponents. Either way, Fickell also reiterated they don't plan on playing two QBs.

The Bearcats leader also announced UC's five captains: graduate LB Wil Huber, graduate DL Jabari Taylor, senior OL Dylan O'Quinn, senior TE Josh Whyle, and senior WR Tre Tucker.

All five players are major fulcrum pieces in the 2022 season and can gain more interest from the NFL with great campaigns.
