Bearcats Finish No. 4, Make College Football Playoff for First Time in School History
CINCINNATI — The moment Cincinnati fans have waited on all season is finally here. After their 35-20 AAC Championship victory, UC stayed at No. 4 in the final College Football Playoff rankings. They are the first Group of 5 team to make the playoff and have the chance to play for a National Championship.
Alabama moved to No. 1 after a blowout win over No. 3 Georgia in the SEC Championship game. Michigan stayed at No. 2 following a win over Iowa in the Big 10 Championship game. Notre Dame and Ohio State rounded out the top six.
Cincinnati faces the Crimson Tide in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31.
