Wes Miller to 'Look in the Mirror' Following Bearcats 84-79 Loss to Xavier in Crosstown Shootout

Cincinnati is 7-1 following Saturday's loss to Xavier at the Cintas Center.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats lost to the Musketeers 84-79 on Saturday night in the 91st Crosstown Shootout.

Wes Miller's crew never led in the first half and scored just 27 points on 30% shooting. Cincinnati rallied and briefly took the lead in the second half, but Xavier did enough to earn their fifth-straight win in the rivalry.

Miller is 0-3 against the Muskeeters.

"As a coach I gotta look in the mirror and I got a lot of things I can improve on," Miller said. "If everybody in our locker room takes that approach, we'll learn from this and get better."

Miller made it clear that they want to get CJ Fredrick more looks on offense and that Xavier made a concerted effort to take him away. The Cincinnati native finished 0-for-4 from the field.

Cincinnati is 7-1 on the season following the loss. They play Bryant on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena.
