CINCINNATI — UC football returns from Spring Break this week to pick practice back up. It's time to pick the recruiting news back up as well with a few offers from the past week-plus.

Things start with an offer to four-star 2024 defensive lineman Jayden Jackson out of IMG Academy (Florida).

According to 247Sports, Jackson is the 518th-ranked player nationally and the 50th-ranked defensive lineman.

He holds 31 offers from schools like Ohio State and Tennessee.

Jackson could be the next great nose tackle at UC, following Dontay Corleone. The 6-foot-2, 290-pound behemoth is a big problem in the middle.

His raw power and quick hands stand out the most on film. Jackson moves people, plain and simple. He likes to rush with two hands in the ground and creates lower angles with speed that way.

He had some fun highlights to watch.

Following Jackson is an offer to four-star athlete Brandyn Hillman out of Churchland (Virginia).

According to 247Sports, Hillman is the 214th-ranked player nationally and the ninth-best athlete.

He holds offers from schools like Kentucky and Michigan. He is projected to sign with Notre Dame.

Hillman vividly reminds me of Lamar Jackson's Louisville days. He has similar athleticism as a duel-threat quarterback at 6-foot-1, 191 pounds.

He's the best option reader at the position I've seen the Bearcats recruit and has some solid arm talent as well. Progression throwing reads could use some tweaking, but there weren't many weaknesses on his passing film.

Hillman did a great job working through messy pockets and layered some nice balls at the second and third levels. He's a capable safety as well that can cover from various alignments and lays down some big hits.

Next is an announced visit from three-star athlete Zae Jennings out of Colerain (Ohio).

Content is unavailable

According to 247Sports, Jennings is the 646th-ranked player overall and the 77th-ranked athlete.

He currently holds 12 offers from Central Michigan and Miami (OH).

Cincinnati has not offered Jennings yet.

The triple-option quarterback at Colerain will be a bruising running back at the next level.

Jennings runs that offense with great timing and even worked nicely with some spread concepts throughout the season. He is a much better runner than thrower, with fantastic field vision and strength to carry multiple defenders extra yards.

His favorite move is a nasty little left-to-right cut back into the middle of the field. Jennings accelerates well off of those moves and is one of many 2024 running backs UC is courting.

We round out the news with an offer to 2024 three-star offenisve lineman Joseph Cryer out of Natchitoches Central (Lousiana).

According to On3, Cryer is the 905th-ranked player nationally and the 65th-best interior offensive lineman.

He holds 10 offers from schools like Oklahoma and Mississippi State.
