CINCINNATI β€” UC football is part of the final school choices for 2024 three-star safety Rydarrius Morgan out of Phenix City (Alabama).

Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Mississippi State, Florida State, and Cincinnati are all involved in the final six.

According to 247Sports, Morgan is the 558th-ranked player nationally and the 56th-best safety. He would currently slot second in overall rating behind Kale Woodburn among Cincinnati commits.

The 6-foot, 175-pound safety held 20 offers before cutting down his list.

He posted 50 tackles (5 TFLs), 1 sack, 2 interceptions, 4 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble during the 2023 season.

"Red" plays with a strong intensity snap-to-snap. He is a versatile safety that can play across the field, including snaps in the box as a run defender.

Morgan hits hard and pursues with a nice wrap-and-tackle technique. He looks like a speeding bullet on open-field tackle chances. Those skills also translate on special teams where he is a great gunner with nice open-field speed. That should be an instant impact area if he chooses Cincinnati

In coverage, Morgan shows patience as a middle-of-the-field lifeline. He can track down duck passes well and shows nice recovery skills to bat down passes that would've been big plays.
