Deion Sanders unsure if he's ready to be a Grandfather, but it's growing on him

Coach Prime warming up to the idea of entering a new chapter in his life
In this story:

Deion Sanders doesn't know how to feel about taking on a new title. The 56-year-old Colorado Buffaloes coach was asked about becoming "Pop-Pop Prime" on the Today Show this week and explained why it's bittersweet.

"I don't like that though," Sanders told Al Roker. "First of all, I'm proud. (Deiondra) is 34. So, I'm happy. She's ready and prepared and it's a blessing. But I don't know if I'm ready to be a Granddad"

Deiondra fired up the internet by announcing she was pregnant with R&B singer Jacquees' baby a week ago. She told the world the news on Instagram and wrote that  this was a miracle considering the health challenges she has faced and was doing this for all the "high risk" moms who were scared of losing a baby.

Ready or not, "Grandpa Prime" will be entering his second season for the Buffs this year. Deiondra tells BuffsBeat she will be due right before the start of the season in Boulder. She's the oldest of the "Sanders five" and the rest are in Boulder with Coach Prime.

Sanders made his return to Atlanta on Friday night for the second stop on his book tour. He was accompanied by Deiondra and Deion Jr., who helped greet the large crowd for the photo opportunity at Barnes and Noble Cumberland. They got some good southern hospitality before heading to Dallas for the next stop on Saturday night.

Coach Prime returns home on Monday for CU's Pro Day and the start of Spring Practice. It will be a five week period before the Black and Gold Spring Game at Folsom Field on April 27.
