Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders said that he expects to be released from the hospital on Sunday. Two days after surgery to remove blood clots in his legs.

In a video posted to social media on Saturday, Sanders described the procedures to his family and said it was a successful process. He said doctors took two blood clots out of his left leg. One in his thigh and another below the knee. He also said there was a third in his right leg that doctors were “going to get soon.” It has been a whirlwind for the Sanders family since news of Prime's emergency surgery spread on Thursday.

The 55-year-old Sanders explained what he was going to have done in a short video and said it was necessary for blood flow. Prime will still need another surgery to correct hammer toes in his left foot. He’s struggled with mobility since having two toes amputated in 2021 while at Jackson State.

Sanders revealed he might lose his left foot as a result of circulation issues. This news came to light over a week ago while talking with three doctors at CU. The first-year CU head football coach is preparing to open the season at TCU on Sept. 2.
