Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis is garnering significant pre-season hype as one of the highest-graded returning signal callers per Pro Football Focus for the 2023 season. Travis, who led the Seminoles to a 10-3 season, led the team to victories in their final six games and ended as Cheez-It Bowl Champions. He has played in 35 games at FSU and has thrown for 5,888 yards and 45 touchdowns adding 1,734 on the ground for another 24.

Travis has an array of new weapons this season to enhance an already powerful offense. The team welcomed South Carolina transfer tight end Jaheim Bell and Michigan State transfer wide receiver Keon Coleman. Additionally, FSU head coach Mike Norvell recruited several former blue-chip prospects, including wide receivers Hykeem Williams, Destyn Hill, Vandrevious Jacobs, and Goldie Lawrence, as well as running back Samuel Singleton, among others.

Pro Football Focus analyst Trevor Sikkema recently released a top 5 list of quarterbacks heading into the 2024 NFL Draft and Travis made the cut.

The Florida State quarterback ranked fifth on Sikkema's list, which featured notable quarterbacks such as Caleb Williams, the returning Heisman trophy winner from the University of Southern California, Bo Nix from Oregon, Drake Maye from North Carolina, and Michael Penix Jr. from Washington.

FSU begins the season as slight underdogs in its matchup against the LSU Tigers on September 3 in Orlando, Florida. The game marks the kickoff of Jordan Travis and the Seminoles' quest for a successful run in the ACC and College Football Playoff.
