FSU's Jaheim Bell Named Top 5 Tight End in 2024 NFL Draft
Florida State has had major success in the NCAA Transfer Portal, drawing in stars like wide receiver Johnny Wilson (Arizona State), defensive end Jared Verse (Albany), running back Trey Benson (Oregon), linebacker Tatum Bethune (UCF) and Greedy Vance (Louisville) who were all significant contributors to the Seminoles' 10-3 (5-3 ACC) run last season.
After transfers Jermaine Johnson II, who was selected by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Jammie Robinson, who went in the fifth round in 2023, and running back Jashaun Corbin, who headed to the New York Giants, it came as no surprise that FSU would emerge as an appealing destination for impact players seeking a new team.

Tight end Jaheim Bell was ranked as the top transfer at his position and the 14th transfer overall by 247Sports before choosing to play for the 'Noles. His addition further solidified a growing trend of a South Carolina pipeline at FSU, with both Bell and Robinson transferring from the Gamecocks.
Pro Football Focus has been tracking the top returning players eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft at their position. Alongside FSU quarterback Jordan Travis, Bell is projected to be one of the top-five tight ends to hear their name called next April.
Bell had an impressive career during his time at South Carolina, recording 56 catches for 757 yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, he showcased his versatility with 80 rushing attempts for 301 yards and three touchdowns. Bell holds the top two records for receiving yards by a tight end in South Carolina history.
Head coach Mike Norvell's offensive strategy heavily incorporates tight end sets in the passing and rushing game. Given Jaheim Bell's skill set and past performance, he is expected to flourish in this system as he helps FSU in its pursuit of success.
