Alabama DBs Coach Leaving Crimson Tide for Georgia Football

Georgia hires Travaris Robinson to be the defensive backs coach after Nick Saban retires from Alabama.

Georgia has made a coaching change on Saturday morning. After the retirement of Nick Saban, many wondered how it would impact Georgia's coaching staff and we have our answer. Travaris Robinson has been a long-time defensive backs coach in this conference and he's joining the Georgia staff as the defensive backs coach as reports have indicated that Will Muschamp who was the co-defensive coordinator in 2023, will be stepping back into an analyst role to take a bit more time away from football. 

Travaris Robinson signed Caleb Downs at Alabama. 

Statement from Georgia head coach Kirby Smart:

“We are pleased to announce Travaris Robinson as our new Co-Defensive Coordinator and Safeties Coach,” said Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. “Travaris has 17 years of college coaching experience, including over a decade in the SEC mentoring some of the top defenses statistically in the NCAA.”
