2024 Safety KJ Bolden Recaps Massive Recruiting Weekend at Georgia
The Georgia football program hosted a massive weekend recruiting event over the past couple of days and will continue to bring in recruits for visits throughout the summer. The Bulldogs brought in a litany of recruits from all over the country and to no surprise, it sounds like it was a big time hit for the recruits that were in attendance.
One of the players that made the trip to Athens this weekend was 2024 safety, KJ Bolden. The Buford, Georgia native has been under the Bulldogs’ radar for a while and for good reason considering he is one of the top players in the upcoming class and the number one player at his position, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
Dawgs Daily caught up with Bolden to check in see how the visit was going, and the big time prospect had a lot of good things to say about the University of Georgia.
Here is what Bolden had to say about Georgia and the visit:
“It went well, it keeps getting better and better. I got to have some great conversations with the coaches in my ability to play and enroll early. I also had a blast with the other commits and future commits doing the scavenger hunt. It was my dads first time on campus so it was great to have him there to listen and support me. The atmosphere just feels right.”
Georgia has recently had several success stories at the safety position as Christopher Smith was recently taken in this year’s NFL draft, but perhaps a better example for what Bolden could possibly expect if he enrolls at Georgia is Malaki Starks. He started as a true freshman for Georgia at safety this past season and quickly boosted his way into college football stardom.
We asked Bolden if seeing Starks’ immediate impact on defense had any affect on his recruitment and he said, “Naw they offered me early so they always been top three but that was a good look to see him come on and play right away so I know it’s possible.”
Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have done an exceptional job landing some of the finest recruits that the 2024 recruiting class has to offer, including the No. 1 overall player Dylan Raiola. Now it’s looking like Bolden very well could be another highly touted recruit added to Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class.
