Get Up! It's Gameday: Georgia vs Florida
The Georgia Bulldogs take on their most hated rival, the Florida Gators, in the 100th edition of "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" this afternoon. The Bulldogs currently lead the series 55-44.
Heading into this game, both teams are coming fresh off of their bye week and have been able to give a handful of players some much-needed rest. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they will be without their most dynamic weapon Brock Bowers. The tight end is recovering from surgery to repair a high ankle sprain he suffered a couple of weeks ago against Vanderbilt.
Last year's matchup saw the Bulldogs turn in a controlling victory as they handled the Gators by a score of 42-20 en route to their first-ever 15-0 season. Georgia is currently a large favorite over the Gators and will be looking to earn its third straight victory against its rival.
Although the Dawgs are down their star player, look for other Bulldog weapons such as Rara Thomas, Dominic Lovett, and Oscar Delp to step up in big ways to fill the void left by Bowers' absence.
