Vanderbilt quarterback Ken Seals is no stranger to the SEC and he's returned to the starting helm of the Commodore program. Here's what Georgia needs to be prepared for.

The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs are set for their second SEC road game of the 2023 season as they prepare to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores. Head coach Clark Lea has a (2-5) football team that is currently a 31.5-point underdog at home on Saturday.

Entering the 2023 season, albeit not without competition, Lea named AJ Swann the starting quarterback. Swann, a Georgia native by way of Cherokee High School in Cherokee County, Georgia, started 12 straight for the Commodores and looked to be a bright spot for the future of this football program as just a freshman a year ago.

The start to his sophomore campaign, throwing six interceptions in the final three starts this season, led head coach Clark Lea to make the decision to switch things up at quarterback. In comes familiar face — at least to Commodores football — senior QB Ken Seals.

Seals is not new to SEC football, in fact, Seals has played in 22 games, he's made 18 starts in his career. This isn't a rookie by any stretch of the imagination taking the reigns back over for the Commodore program.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart commented about Seals during Monday's press conference, noting that Seals has not only protected the football sense taking over but he's done "a great job of getting the ball into their receivers' hands." Smart raved about the weapons on the outside — Vanderbilt has three receivers with over 300 yards on the season, including Will Sheppard who has 550 yards. Smart also talked about Seals athleticism allowing him to "extend plays" long enough to deliver strikes to those dynamic weapons down field.
