Where Will KJ Bolden Commit?

Where will five-star safety KJ Bolden commit to between Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, and FSU?

One of the biggest decisions in this year's recruiting class will become public tomorrow as five-star safety KJ Bolden will be announcing his college decision. In early July, Bolden narrowed his list down to five schools which included Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Alabama, and Ohio State. So where will Bolden be playing his college football career at?

Bolden is a Georgia native, and the Bulldogs have been in on this recruitment from the jump. For a while, it has felt like Georgia would ultimately be the school that Bolden commits to. Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have been able to hold a firm position in this race and still do, but there has been some recent action on the trail that has allowed another school to insert themselves into the conversation.

This offseason, Auburn's football program made the decision to hire Hugh Freeze as the team's new head coach. A guy with prior experience in the SEC and who understands the landscape of the conference, specifically on the recruiting trail. Under Freeze, the Tigers have been able to build up some momentum in this year's class as they landed four players in the month of July, including linebacker Demarcus Riddick who was at one point a Georgia commit.

Bolden was recently at Auburn as they try to make their final push to help get Bolden to commit to the Tigers. Freeze and his program have been very apparent with their efforts in this class and are doing everything they can to get the program going in the right direction, and that makes them a significant player in this battle especially considering their need for a player like Bolden.

Ohio State, for a long time, kept themselves near the front, and it looked like they would take it all the way down to the wire, but some of their momentum has appeared to have fizzled out, but are still very much in the mix. It’s now Florida State that’s been pushing hard to get Bolden to be a Seminole, but as we near Bolden's decision, they remain on the outside looking in per our sources. But nonetheless, they are still in the conversation.

Bolden is currently at Buford High School and is teammates with current Georgia commits Dylan Raiola and Jadon Perlotte, which certainly can only help the Bulldogs' chances. It seems like this decision will really come down between Georgia and Auburn, but every school that remains in the mix will be scratching and clawing all the way until Bolden makes his final decision.
