Georgia Tech Baseball Among First Four Out According To Latest Projections

Georgia Tech still has work to do if they want to make the NCAA Tournament

Ahead of a big series against Virginia tonight, Georgia Tech Baseball is still fighting to try and secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Yellow Jackets have not missed the NCAA Tournament since the 2018 season and are hoping for a late-season surge to get them in the field of 64.

According to two of the top college baseball sites, Georgia Tech is just on the outside looking in.

College Baseball Nation has the Yellow Jackets as one of the first two teams out. The other three teams including among the first four out include UC Irvine, Louisiana, and Rutgers.

The good news for Tech is that their upcoming series against Virginia (a projected No. 1 seed) can move them up. GT has also clinched a spot in the ACC Tournament and that means more chances for wins.

Over on D1Baseball, Georgia Tech is also the second team out in their projected field of 64. Louisiana and Rutgers are also among their first four out, along with Texas State.

Georgia Tech is currently 45th in RPI and Virginia is 10th. Anything less than a series win would be a blow to the efforts of this team trying to show that it belongs in the NCAA Tournament.
