Updated ACC Baseball Standings: 5/1

The final month of the regular season has arrived in college baseball

The final few weeks of the regular season have arrived in college baseball.

Georgia Tech has only three ACC series left this season (Pitt, Duke, Virginia) and they are going to need a strong final few weeks of the season to make the ACC Tournament and possibly keep themselves alive for an NCAA Tournament birth.

The Yellow Jackets are currently on a five-game winning streak and are 26-18 for the season and still 8-13 in the ACC. Currently, Georgia Tech would not qualify for the ACC Tournament as they have one of the two lowest winning percentages in the ACC (Florida State is the other).

At the top of the ACC Coastal is Duke (14-9, 31-13) and they just won two of three in a series against Virginia. The Blue Devils play Longwood and a two-game series against Rider early next week.

Miami (14-10, 28-16) is right behind Duke, and the Hurricanes just won their series against Louisville. They take on Presbyterian this week.

Virginia (13-11, 35-11), North Carolina (11-11, 28-16), and Virginia Tech (11-12, 25-16) are the next group of teams in the division. The Tar Heels just won their series against the Hokies.

Pitt (8-11, 20-21) and Georgia Tech (8-13, 26-18) are at the bottom and the two teams face each other this weekend in a pivotal series for the Yellow Jackets.

In the Atlantic Division, Wake Forest (16-4, 37-6) is still cruising and they face Boston College this weekend. The Eagles (13-11, 29-14) and Notre Dame (13-11, 25-17) are the two teams tied for second behind the Demon Deacons. The Fighting Irish play NC State this weekend.

Clemson (11-10, 28-17), Louisville (9-12, 28-15), and NC State (8-12, 28-14) are the next three teams and Florida State is comfortable7 in last (6-18, 15-27).

Boston College vs Wake is the marquee matchup in the ACC this week, but don't sleep on Louisville vs Clemson.
