2023 Point guard Nait George commits to Georgia Tech

George is the latest commitment in the 2023 class

Georgia Tech has finally secured its first commitment in the 2024 recruiting class.

2023 point guard Nait George, who plays at Dream City Christian in Arizona, committed to the Yellow Jackets and head coach Damon Stoudamire. Georgia Tech offered George back in early July and now he is on board for this season.

Georgia Tech has been in the mix for a few prospects in this class and they are hopeful to add more soon. George is a 6'3 180 LBS point guard who has talent and the thought of being coached and developed by a former NBA point guard like Stoudamire had to be enticing.

George does not have a player ranking on 247Sports and seems to be an under-the-radar prospect that Stoudamire will be taking a chance on with the hopes of developing him into a future starter.

More talent could be on the way to Georgia Tech in the 2024 class soon. Four-star center Peyton Marshall is committing this Friday and while he is picking up some predictions to land at Missouri, nothing is ever over in recruiting.

Stoudamire and the Yellow Jackets could be trending to land one of the top guards in the 2024 class, Jaeden Mustaf.

Over the weekend, On3 national basketball recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw put in a prediction for Georgia Tech to land four-star guard Jaeden Mustaf. He put the prediction in with a confidence of 60 and it seems like the Yellow Jackets might be the team to beat in this recruitment.

Now it should be noted that this is just one prediction and it could be wrong. The Yellow Jackets received a prediction to land four-star center John Bol, but he would commit to Ole Miss instead. However, Georgia Tech did land in Mustafs top six schools this past week and seems to have momentum right now.

Mustaf does not have any 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions as of yet.

His finalists include Georgia Tech, Maryland, NC State, Arkansas, Florida State, and Indiana.

Stay tuned for more updates from the recruiting trail from Georgia Tech as they continue to build the 2024 class under Stoudamire.
