ACC Standings Going Into Final Weekend In February

How does the ACC look going into the last weekend of the month?

Two weekends to go in ACC basketball play before the conference tournament field is finalized.

This week saw another change at the top. After Clemson's recent skid dropped them out of first place, Virginia took over the top spot in the league, but they were walking on thin ice in recent weeks. After avoiding upsets against Notre Dame and Louisville, UVA was unable to avoid another and lost to Boston College.

That put the Miami Hurricanes (14-4) on the top by a half-game. Miami takes on Florida State tomorrow and has a huge game against Pitt next Saturday, which could determine the No. 1 seed in the ACC.

Pitt (13-4) and Virginia (13-4) are tied for 2nd place in the ACC. Pitt had a close call against Georgia Tech this week and hosts Syracuse tomorrow. Virginia has a big game against North Carolina, a game that both teams need to win tomorrow.

Clemson (12-5) and NC State (12-6) are up next, but the Tigers have not been playing well recently. They had a dreadful loss to Louisville but did bounce back to get a nice 18-point win over Syracuse. NC State on the other hand has two wins in a row heading into their matchup with the Tigers tomorrow. This is a big game in the conference.

Duke (11-6) is hoping to catch both Clemson and NC State and they have an interesting stretch of games to end their season. The Blue Devils face Virginia Tech tomorrow and then NC State on Tuesday before ending their season against North Carolina.

North Carolina, Wake Forest, and Syracuse are all 9-8 and in need of some wins, especially the Tar Heels. UNC is on the outside looking at the NCAA Tournament according to ESPN's latest bracketology update and they need to beat Virginia tomorrow. Wake faces Notre Dame and Syracuse travels to Pitt.

Boston College (8-10) is coming off of a huge upset against Virginia and doesn't have a game tomorrow. Virginia Tech (6-11) travels to Duke tomorrow.

Florida State (6-11) takes on Miami, Georgia Tech (3-14) and Louisville (2-15) face each other tomorrow, and Notre Dame (2-15) travels to Wake.
