Georgia Tech Will Face Florida State In First Round Of 2023 ACC Tournament

Georgia Tech will get a rematch with FSU in the ACC Tournament

Georgia Tech's ACC opponent is locked in for Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. 

The Yellow Jackets are going to be facing Florida State, a team that GT lost to by 11 points back in early January. Georgia Tech was locked into the 13th seed coming into Saturday's games and would face the loser of the Virginia Tech vs Florida State matchup. The Hokies beat the Seminoles 82-60 today and that locked in the first-round matchup on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. 

If Georgia Tech were to win that game on Tuesday, they would advance on Wednesday to face Pitt, whom the Yellow Jackets have lost to twice this year.

After Saturday's results, Georgia Tech is now ranked 165th in the Kenpom rankings, while Florida State is 212th. 

After a tough stretch where Georgia Tech lost nine games in a row, the Yellow Jackets have won five of their last seven games and three in a row. This team is playing well on offense and is going to be a confident group heading into Tuesday's matchup with Florida State. 

The Seminoles have lost six of their last seven games, with the only win being a miraculous comeback against Miami. 

There is no doubt in my mind that Georgia Tech can win the game against Florida State. This team is playing well and the players and head coach Josh Pastner deserve a lot of credit for getting this team back to playing well.
