2024 Offensive tackle Jameson Riggs commits to Georgia Tech over Auburn and Clemson

Riggs is the 24th commitment for Georgia Tech in the 2024 class

Things had been trending for 2024 offensive tackle Jameson Riggs, who plays at Hiram High School (GA), to land with Georgia Tech, but he made it official today, becoming the 24th commitment in the Yellow Jackets class.

Earlier this week, Riggs received two 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions from two analysts to land at Georgia Tech and that is what happened. 

Riggs is rated as the No. 643 player in the country on the 247Sports Composite and the No. 78 player in the state of Georgia. He holds other offers from Clemson, Auburn, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, NC State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, and USC, among others. 

Riggs took officials to Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Clemson. It came down to those three and Brent Key and Georgia Tech were able to beat out Dabo Swinney and Hugh Freeze for Riggs. 

This is a big addition to Georgia Tech. I think that Riggs is an underrated player in the 2024 class and there was a reason that multiple high-level power five programs were after him. This rounds out the offensive line class nicely for Georgia Tech and the future is looking bright at the position. 

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech currently ranks 24th in the country on Rivals and 25th on 247Sports.
