2024 OL Felix Doege Recaps Visit To Georgia Tech

Doege loved visiting Atlanta and hopes to be back soon

Georgia Tech and head coach Brent Key have been welcoming in visitors throughout the spring as they look to add to their recruiting class, which is currently 25th on 247Sports.

One of the visitors that had been at Tech previously was 2024 OL Felix Doege (Rabun Gap, GA). Doege was in Atlanta for a visit in January and got a chance to go back yesterday to see practice and spend time with the coaching staff.

Doege recapped his visit with me and had nothing but great things to say about Georgia Tech.

He said his visit went well and he got there around 8:30. When I asked him what was different about his visit this week than the one in January, he said the alone time with the coaches stood out and it felt like a more personable visit.

Doege had long talks with offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner and quarterbacks coach/co-offensive coordinator Chris Weinke and they went great. He said that was definitely something different than before

He said he got to sit down with offensive line coach Geep Wade and watch film, which was a plus.

While Doege is not going to be at the spring game this weekend, he sounded enthusiastic about getting back to The Flats and spending more time at Georgia Tech.

He is currently in the middle of track season and doing the shot put.

As far as his recruitment goes, he is still going to go to camps and plan out his official visits this summer. Other schools that he said are in the mix are App State, Troy, and Houston.

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech is headlined by four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA). Williams has been the building block for Key in this class and is going to be the quarterback of the future for the Yellow Jackets.
