One of the top players in the class of 2025 is taking an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech today.

Josh Petty, who plays at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell (GA), is in Atlanta today to see Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets coaching staff.

Petty is ranked as the No. 12 overall player in the 2025 class by the 247Sports Composite, the No. 2 offensive tackle in the country, and the No. 4 player in Georgia. He is going to be one of the most coveted players in the next recruiting cycle and Key and the rest of the staff are working on building this relationship early.

Other offers that Petty holds include Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others.

The Yellow Jackets are working on building a strong 2024 class and are in the top 30 of both 247Sports and Rivals recruiting rankings. For prospects of the caliber that Petty is, the best thing that the Yellow Jackets can do is win and show that there is an improvement on the field during Key's first season. Still, it is nice to see highly-rated local prospects going to visit Georgia Tech and it is worth keeping an eye on for the future.
