Georgia Tech Football weekly recruiting recap: 7/17

Georgia Tech was busy with new 2025 offers this week

Recruiting has slowed down a bit for Georgia Tech in the month of July due to the dead period, but it has not slowed completely.

The Yellow Jackets got a commitment this past week with three-star defensive back Christian Pritchett joining the 2024 class. The staff was also busy identifying 2025 prospects and handing out new offers.

Let's recap the week that was in Georgia Tech recruiting.

1. Three-star defensive back Christian Pritchett commits to Georgia Tech

Pritchett, who plays at St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LA, announced that he would be committing to Georgia Tech and joining the Yellow Jackets 2024 class. It was the second commitment in as many days for Georgia Tech, who landed a big four-star commitment from cornerback Troy Stevenson.

2. Three-star 2025 quarterback Luke Nickel receives an offer from Georgia Tech

Nickel is going to be a riser in the 2025 class and plays at nearby Milton High School.

Nickel has been gaining offers lately from several Division One programs. Duke, Boston College, Miami, Florida State, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, UCF, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

On the 247Sports Composite, Nickel is rated as a high three-star prospect and the No. 321 player in the country. He is the No. 25 quarterback in the country and the No. 33 player in Georgia.

Nickel's teammate, tight end Ryan Ghea, is going to be one of the most sought-after tight ends in the country in the next recruiting cycle and has already visited Georgia Tech.

3. 2025 four-star running back Wartzel Clark gets an offer from Georgia Tech

Clark is the No. 123 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite and the No. 10 running back in the country, as well as the No. 22 player in the state of Florida. His other offers include Florida, Florida State, Arkansas, Boston College, Iowa, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon State, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, and UCF, among others.

4. 2025 Offensive lineman Gavin Bowlin gets an offer from Georgia Tech

Bowlin holds offers from Kentucky, Louisville, and Troy. At 6'6 280 LBS, I expect Bowlin to start receiving more offers soon.
