Georgia Tech Gets Commitment From USF Edge Transfer Eddie Kelly

Kelly is the third transfer addition in the last two days

Georgia Tech has been busy in the transfer portal in the past 24 hours and they have added another player via the portal tonight. 

USF defensive lineman Eddie Kelly announced tonight that he would be committing to the Yellow Jackets. 

Kelly played one season for the Bulls and he totaled 19 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pass deflection last season. 

The Yellow Jackets have been looking for defensive line help and in the first transfer portal window, they added Clemson transfer Etinosa Reuben, who figures to be a big part of the defensive line rotation this season. Kelly is going to be another piece to the defensive line and I think he is a versatile player that will have a chance to play right away. At 6'4 274 LBS, he has the versatility to play inside or out and that is something this defensive staff values. 

Georgia Tech is trying to replace its leading pass rusher, Keion White, who was a second-round pick by the New England Patriots. Defensive tackles Akelo Stone and K.J. Miles transferred after the spring game.

Last night, Georgia Tech landed Georgia transfer wide receiver Dominick Blaylock and earlier today, Kansas State cornerback Omar Daniel made his commitment to Georgia Tech. Both of those guys have a chance to make an impact next season as well at their respective positions.
