Georgia Tech Reveals Depth Chart for Matchup With Boston College

Georgia Tech faces Boston College in Atlanta on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

The bye week for Georgia Tech is now over and the Yellow Jackets are set to begin the second half of the season against Boston College on Saturday.

Tuesday is the day that Georgia Tech releases its depth chart ahead of their matchup on Saturday and there were not many changes on the latest depth chart release.

Haynes King remains the starter at quarterback and while he did lead Georgia Tech down the field to upset Miami, it was not King's best game and he will look to have a huge day against a Boston College defense that has struggled this season.

At running back, there remains and "or" designation around Dontae Smith, Jamal Haynes, and Trey Cooley. It should be noted that Smith has not played much, even with this designation, and Haynes has been the main ball carrier for the Yellow Jackets. Cooley has been the backup in the games.

At wide receiver, it is interesting to note that Chase Lane is now being listed in the depth chart after missing the past four weeks with an injury. This does not guarantee that Lane will play, but it should at least be encouraging to see him listed. Malik Rutherford is listed as one starter, while either Eric Singleton or Lane will start at the other spot and Dominick Blaylock or Abdul Janneh will start at the other. In the past few games, Blaylock has received more playing time.

Dylan Leonard is listed as the starting tight end, but both Luke Benson and Brett Seither will see plenty of snaps as well.

The offensive line looks to be welcoming back Jordan Williams this week, as he is listed as the starting right tackle. Ethan Mackenny, Joe Fusile, Weston Franklin, and Connor Scaglione are the other starters up front.

Defensively, there were no changes on the depth chart that was released.

Eddie Kelly, Zekk Biggers, Makius Scott, and either Kyle Kennard or Kevin Harris are the starters up front. All five guys receive plenty of playing time and will rotate with others.

One position to monitor on a weekly basis is linebacker. Paul Moala and Trenilyas Tatum are listed as starters, but there has been plenty of rotation there. Moala does play the majority of snaps, but Kyle Efford, Braelen Oliver, and Andre White have seen snaps as well opposite of Moala.

The secondary remains the same on this week's depth chart. Myles Sims and Ahmari Harvey are listed as starters at corner and K.J. Wallace is listed as the starter at nickel.

LaMiles Brooks had his best of the season against Miami and is listed as a starter at strong safety and either Clayton Powell-Lee or Jaylon King will start at free safety.

Aidan Birr is the starter at kicker and David Shanahan is the starter at punter.

Georgia Tech vs Boston College kicks off this Saturday at 12:00 p.m. on the ACC Network.
