BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The recruiting battle to land Curtis Givens III will be drawing to a close on Saturday.

The four-star guard in the class of 2024 will be announcing his college decision on Saturday live on the On3 Recruits YouTube channel at 5:00 p.m. ET and 4:00 p.m CT, according to Joe Tipton. Givens is deciding amongst five schools — Indiana, Georgia Tech, Texas, Memphis and LSU.

Givens is one of several basketball players that coach Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers have pursued from Montverde Academy, one of the best high school basketball programs in the country. Indiana is the consensus favorite to land Givens' five-star teammate in the class of 2024 — Liam McNeeley — and in a fierce recruiting battle with Maryland to land Montverde's five-star center, Derik Queen.

Montverde is also home to Asa Newell, who recently announced his top four for his college decision, but did not include Indiana despite Woodson and Co.'s recruitment of him. The two big-time gets for Woodson and Indiana in the class of 2022 — Jalen Hood-Schifino and Malik Reneau — are also Montverde alumni.

Givens averaged 14.8 points, 4.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds through 24 games with MoKan Elite during 2023 Nike EYBL play, according to a source with AAU tracking data. The 2024 four-star also made 51 of 165 three-point attempts in those 24 games (30.9 3PT%) and 57 of 78 free throws (73.1 FT%). Givens stands at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, according to 247 Sports.

Woodson and the Hoosiers are not the projected favorites to land the 2024, four-star guard when he announces his decision on Saturday. 247 Sports, Rivals and On3 have Memphis as the leader in the clubhouse, with Georgia Tech as the biggest challenger.

A contributing factor here might be Indiana's recruitment of a different 2024 guard — Boogie Fland.

Fland is rated above Givens in 247, Rivals and On3's 2024 recruiting rankings. Kentucky and coach John Calipari were long the projected favorites to land the five-star guard, but over the past week, Indiana and Woodson have overtaken the Wildcats according to some college basketball recruiting insiders

Givens' college decision will be finalized at 5:00 p.m. ET and 4:00 p.m. CT on Saturday. Indiana basketball fans can watch him make his decision live by checking out the On3 Recruits YouTube channel linked here
