Ray Davis will put up a ton of yards for the Wildcats this season
Ray Davis decided to transfer across state lines to Kentucky after playing for Vanderbilt a season ago.
Davis ran for 1,042 yards and five touchdowns a season ago for the Commodores. He had 26 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown against the Wildcats in Lexington last year.
I expect Davis to put up more yards on the ground this season for the Wildcats.
The offensive line is expected to be much better than it was a year ago, so the Big Blue Wall will create holes for Davis.
Davis's body type and running style are similar to Chris Rodriguez Jr.
He is five-foot-ten, 216 pounds and Rodriguez Jr. is five-foot-eleven, 224 pounds.
Davis will be hard for the opposing defense to bring down, thanks to the power he runs with and his strength.
The senior is one of the best running backs in the SEC, and I expect him to put up 1,200+ yards for Kentucky this season as long as he stays healthy.
Coach Stoops has done an incredible job of reloading on running back talent going from Benny Snell to Rodriguez Jr. and now to Davis.
This Kentucky offense, with Liam Coen back at the helm, will put up some serious numbers in 2022.
It will go from one of the worst in the SEC to one of the best offenses in the blink of an eye.
