A caller told Coach Stoops that he had only won two games against SEC teams who finished over .500 in conference play during his time at UK.

Stoops didn't believe this stat to be true, but Jack Pilgram of KSR did some digging and found out that it was, in fact, true.

This stat isn't meant to rustle any feathers. To me it is just frankly shocking that this is true.

Those two wins over a team that finished .500 or better in conference play were in 2017 over South Carolina (5-3) and in 2018 over Florida (5-3).

Like many have commented, this stat really doesn't matter as you play the schedule you are given, and that is what Stoops has done, and he has been successful doing that over these past few seasons.

Mark Stoops was asked tonight about only winning two SEC games against teams that finished with a winning record in the conference since he got to Kentucky
