Taking a look at the highlights and box score from Kentucky's 99-53 win over Kentucky State
The Kentucky Wildcats took on Kentucky State in what was the Cat's final tune up game before the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season.
Kentucky played a lot better in this scrimmage than they did in the scrimmage against Georgetown College, which was great to see.
The Cats shot the ball well from deep, which is something we hope to see extend into the season.
Freshman DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards both played extremely well against Kentucky State, which is exactly what we wanted to see.
Wagner dished the basketball and scored around the rim and from beyond the arc.
Edwards lived around the rim, scoring many of his points in the paint. He also helped on the boards and was one rebound away from a double-double.
The veterans Antonio Reeves and Tre Mitchell also played well, combining to go 7-11 from three-point range.
After the performance in this ball game, it's clear the Cats are ready for the season to start on November 6th against New Mexico State.
Let's take a look at the highlights and box score from the Cat's 99-53 win over Kentucky State.
