Kentucky Briefing: The basketball team opens as a 17.5-point favorite over New Mexico State
It's almost time!
We are one day away from the start of the college basketball season as the Kentucky Wildcats are getting ready to host the New Mexico State Aggies.
Kentucky played two recent exhibition games, with the first being against Georgetown College and the second being against Kentucky State.
In the second exhibition, the Cats looked really good, and true freshmen DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards both played excellent basketball.
After the Kentucky State win, it seems the Cats are ready for the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season.
The Cats open as a 17.5-point favorite over the Aggies on FanDuel Sportsbook. This is a line that, if I were a Kentucky fan, I would take as this feels a little low.
Coach Calipari has said time and time against that New Mexico State is a good team, and the Cats need to be prepared.
We wrote it
I wrote some takeaways from Kentucky's 24-3 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
"The Kentucky vs. Mississippi State series has been one where the home team wins more times than not."
"The Wildcats hadn't won in Starkville since 2008, but that streak was finally snapped as the Cats won this ball game 24-3."
