Breaking down what Reed Sheppard's role will be on the 2023-24 Kentucky basketball team
One of the big question marks on the Kentucky basketball roster is how much playing time legacy Reed Sheppard will get this season for the Wildcats.
The entire state will be behind this young man as his father, Jeff Sheppard, was the MVP of the 1998 Final Four and won two National Championships at Kentucky.
Sheppard proved during the team's time in Canada that he needs to be on the court for at least ten minutes this season, if not more.
The six-foot-three guard can do it all on the court, whether it be shooting, dishing the ball, dribbling, blocking shots, or playing high-intensity defense.
Kentucky has a lot of talent at the guard position, including DJ Wagner, Robert Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, Adou Thiero, and of course, Sheppard.
I think Sheppard will back up Reeves at the two, and if this were the case, he would good a significant number of minutes his freshman season.
After what we saw at Global Jam, you can't keep Sheppard off the court this season as he does too much right, including rain threes.
