Kentucky Briefing: The Kentucky basketball team should feel good heading into SEC play
It's New Year's Eve, which, as all SEC basketball fans know, means conference play is right around the corner for the SEC teams.
The Kentucky Wildcats will open up SEC play against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, which will be a challenge. The SEC is going to once again be one of the best Power-Six conferences in college basketball this season, so the 18-game schedule will be a gauntlet for John Calipari's squad.
The Cats played a perfect non-conference schedule that included a few difficult games away from Rupp Arena, which will have this team ready for their trip down south to take on the Gators.
The way Kentucky is playing on the offensive side of the floor, they have to feel really good heading into conference play.
If Kentucky can open SEC play with a big win over the Florida Gators, they will pick up a win that will help this team in the NET Rankings.
Kentucky is one of the best teams in college hoops, and they will be able to showcase that against other SEC teams.
