Kentucky Officially Offers 2024 4-Star Point Guard Ahmad Nowell
After spending ample time at the Nike EYBL and Adidas 3Stripes Select Basketball Circuit over the weekend, Kentucky basketball and head coach John Calipari has dished out a second offer.
After offering Koa Peat, a top-five player in the 2025 class, Kentucky has now entered the running for Ahmad Nowell, a 4-star point guard in the class of 2024. Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio was the first to report the offer.
Currently playing for Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia, the same school as incoming UK 5-star forward Justin Edwards, Nowell is the No. 47 player and No. 8 PG in the 2024 class, per the On3 Consensus.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder currently holds offers from Memphis, Auburn, Tennessee, Kansas, St. John's, UConn and now Kentucky. He has taken an official visit to Tennessee, which came back on Feb. 27. Nowell is from Germantown, Tenn., right outside of Memphis.
Calipari saw the PG in action at the Atlanta EYBL stop, where Nowell averaged 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists for Team Final. It's the second time in as many weeks that Kentucky has checked in, as Calipari and Co. were in Philadelphia last weekend to watch Imhotep Charter.
After successfully nabbing Edwards over Tennessee, Kentucky could be in the same recruiting battle with the Vols for Nowell.
