Recruiting: Tampa Catholic and Carrollwood Day Spring Overview

After discussing programs and players from South Broward, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Chaminade-Madonna a few days ago, it was also necessary to mention a few Tampa schools that were visited for spring football practices as well.
An overview of two of the better programs in the Tampa area, it was good to get out and see top high school football recruits firsthand.
Tampa Catholic
Loaded.
Jeris McIntyre and his coaching staff have developed a really young group of guys and now the majority of P5 prospects (albeit not all) will be seniors this fall.
It starts with my guy Eddy Pierre-Louis up front. He’s been the most impressive Florida offensive lineman I’ve seen this spring. In my opinion, he’s a national top 50 player. Additionally, he can be a big-time college player not only along the offensive line, but as a true nose guard as well.
Yes, Pierre-Louis can be a two-gap nose guard. That’s why Georgia will take him on either side of the ball if that’s where he decides to go. Like many Florida prospects, Eddy has no clue where he’s headed. I wouldn’t even venture a guess either and I know him well.
One of the more fascinating recruits in all of 2024 would be wide receiver Terrance “TJ” Moore. Watching him blow by defensive backs at multiple events and spring practice confirmed his reputation as a big-play guy.
Moore needs to continue to hone his craft, but the upside will continue to be high. He can be an elite college wide receiver.
The first time I saw Jameer Grimsley was the other day at a Catholic practice. No question, top 100 national talent. I love him as a cornerback because of his length and speed.

I also love his attitude for a defensive player. Grimsley can one day walk across the stage and meet Roger Goodell if he sticks to the plan by continuing to work his craft.
Catholic has other FBS-level talent as well, and I'm curious to see where Xavier Porter, a talented interior defensive lineman, ends up playing his college football, among others.
Overall, it's a team that showcased more chemistry than I've seen before. Should be a really good squad this fall.
Tampa Carrollwood Day
For anyone that did not go after 2024 running back Anthony Carrie, that was a mistake. He’s a really talented player that could end up playing several positions. I actually love his all-around talents at running back because he can catch the football just as well as he runs it, but I also believe his best long-term position would be “Star” as a slot safety.
Great dude and look forward to seeing him perform at whichever school he ends up at. I like the Tar Heels here, but it's a guess.
Wide receiver Izaiah Williams has been the speedy playmaker not enough recruiting analysts have discussed. He’s going to be a home run threat for Florida (committed on May 5); mark that down.
Bredell Richardson’s ball skills have been tremendous for years. He will probably end up at a SEC school and start much sooner than later. Richardson should be ranked higher by the scouting services.
Edge defender Solomon Williams saw his recruitment blow up this spring. After seeing him twice in the last month, it was obvious why. Williams has picked up multiple pass-rush moves and he’s a bull as well. He has absolutely no clue where he’s going yet, but someone will end up signing a 250-pound pass rusher that’s also a great guy.
There’s also a young wide receiver at CDS all the P5 programs will be coming for in time.
CDS should be a really good team this fall. Lots of speed and skill.
