Buckeye Denzel Ward Ranks Top 10 in Madden NFL 24 CB Ratings
Former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive back Denzel Ward was ranked among the top-10 cornerbacks in Madden NFL 24.
Ward, now a member of the Cleveland Browns, ranked No. 10 on the list with an overall rating of 88 (out of a possible 99).
Some other notable names on the chart include Jalen Ramsey of the Miami Dolphins (97), Jaire Alexander of the Green Bay Packers (95), and Patrick Surtain II of the Denver Broncos (94).
Ward out-shined his colleagues in a handful of areas despite his last-place rating on the list, one of which was speed. The Macedonia, Ohio native was issued a grade of 94, which put him slightly ahead of Surtain's 93 rating).
Ward's 95 acceleration was also the best on the list, beating out Ramsey, Marlon Humphrey (Baltimore Ravens) and Sauce Gardner (New York Jets), whom each were given a 94 designation.
Some of the lower ratings on Ward's Madden 24 report card were in throwing power (31), kick power (18) and kick accuracy (13). Relating to his position, Ward received his lowest marks in catching (75), carrying (66) and strength (61).
Ward saw action in 14 games last season with the Browns, during which time he amassed 42 solo tackles, 15 pass deflections and three interceptions.
