Report: Kickoff Times, Broadcast Stations For Two Buckeyes Games Scheduled
The Big Ten media rights deal is here and in full swing, as two more Ohio State Buckeyes kickoff times and broadcast stations were announced.
Ohio State will likely play Maryland Oct. 7 at 3:30 p.m. on Peacock and Purdue Oct. 14 at noon on FOX, as first reported by Action Network's Brett McMurphy. If no games are flexed to other networks, after the Buckeyes' Oct. 7 date against the Terrapins, they will have played on every broadcast station as part of the Big Ten's new media rights deal with FOX, CBS and NBC.
Ohio State will make its CBS debut in week 1 against Indiana at 3:30 p.m., which was the longtime coveted time slot for Southeastern Conference games.
The Buckeyes will play their first-ever game on NBC under the new deal against Notre Dame — who's had a contract with the station to broadcast its games since 1991 — in week 4 at 7:30 p.m. As the TV broadcast schedule stands, Ohio State will host its first game at Ohio Stadium on NBC in primetime at 7:30 p.m. against Michigan State Nov. 11.
In addition to its matchup against the Terrapins, Ohio State will be broadcast on FOX for matchups against Western Kentucky Sept. 16 and Michigan Nov. 25. The Buckeyes will kick off against the Hilltoppers at 4 p.m. and the Wolverines at noon.
Against Youngstown State Sept. 9, Ohio State will have a noon kickoff on Big Ten Network.
