The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes defended their home turf against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, earning their tenth win of the season by a final score of 38-3.

Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns against the Spartans in one of his best performances of the season so far.

McCord said after the game his success against Michigan State, and all season long, was due to Ohio State's depth of talent on offense. The starting signal caller told reporters he believes the balance of star receivers and running backs forces opposing defenses to make a dangerous decision on how to combat the Buckeyes.

"I'm spoiled," McCord said. "That's the only way I can put it. You look around on that field, and at every single position is just a dog. I feel like defenses have to pick and choose how they want to try to stop us. They want to load guys up front and try to stop (TreVeyon Henderson), that means good matchups on the guys outside. If they want to play coverage, that means we got a good run box and (TreVeyon Henderson)'s gonna do his thing.

Two of McCord's three touchdown passes went to receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., whom was responsible for 149 yards on seven receptions, as well as a rushing score to open the game.

McCord and the Buckeyes are back at Ohio Stadium next weekend, hosting the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 18. Coverage of the game will air nationally on Big Ten Network.
