OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels running back Quinshon Judkins received another preseason honor on Wednesday, courtesy of CBS.

Judkins was selected to the 2023 CBS Sports / 247Sports Preseason All-America First Team as the second running back behind only Michigan Wolverines tailback Blake Corum, who was a unanimous pick.

Judkins is among the nine players from the Southeastern Conference selected to the first team. The sophomore was the only Rebel named to the preseason All-America teams by CBS.

Entering the 2023 season, Judkins has already been named to the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award preseason watch lists.  The tailback has also earned Preseason All-America and first-team Preseason All-SEC honors from Walter Camp, Lindy’s, Athlon Sports, Phil Steele, and the SEC media.

The preseason hype for Judkins comes after he led the SEC in carries (274), rushing yards (1,567), and rushing touchdowns (16) as a true freshman in 2022. Judkins was the "bell cow" back for an Ole Miss rushing attack that finished first in the SEC and second in the nation with 258.3 rushing yards per game.

Judkins now holds the Rebels' single-season records in both rushing yards and touchdowns and was named the 2022 SEC Newcomer and Freshman of the Year for his historic freshman campaign.

Judkins is poised for an even better year now that he is the unquestioned No. 1 running back in Lane Kiffin's offense. It also helps that Ole Miss' offensive line depth is the best it has been in years.

The hype around the sophomore is real and there is a chance he surpasses everyone's expectations.
