The good recruiting news just keeps coming for Dan Lanning and the Ducks.

On Saturday night, former USC Trojans wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. announced his commitment to Oregon.

Bryant spent the last three seasons in Los Angeles after signing with the Trojans as an Adidas All-American in the class of 2020.

During his time at USC he played in 15 games and caught 51 passes for 630 yards and seven touchdowns. He was also showcased as a specialist, returning 24 kickoffs for 623 total yards and averaging 26 yards per return.

A bulk of his production came in 2021, the final year of Clay Helton's tenure as head coach. Last season Bryant was buried on the depth chart after new head coach Lincoln Riley brought in transfers Jordan Addison (Pittsburgh), who went on to win the Biletnikoff Award, as well as Mario Williams from Oklahoma.

He would eventually utilize a redshirt, which means he has three years of college eligibility remaining.

A former standout at Corona (Calif.) Centennial High, Bryant is the third wide receiver the Ducks have added from the transfer portal this offseason, following in the footsteps of Traeshon Holden and Tez Johnson. He was recruited by Junior Adams when he was looking at Washington his senior year, and that relationship will now continue in Eugene.

The Southern California native is the twelfth overall transfer the Ducks have added this offseason and the first since former Ole Miss tight end Casey Kelly announced his pledge to the Ducks

Bryant is primarily viewed as a slot receiver, but he'll add a versatile skillset to a loaded wide receiver room that includes the aforementioned Holden and Johnson, as well as names like Troy Franklin, Kris HutsonKyler Kasper and Justius Lowe.

2023 Adidas All-American wide receiver Jurrion Dickey will also be added to the mix once he arrives in Eugene next month, joining Under Armour All-American and early enrollee Ashton Cozart

Dan Lanning has spoken repeatedly about adding players to enhance the roster when the opportunity presents itself, and Oregon now has one more veteran playmaker on offense with a lot of upside.
