Next Five Who Could Commit to Oregon Football in 2024

What's next for Oregon after landing Texas safety Aaron Flowers?
In this story:

It'd been a quite couple of months on the recruiting trail for Oregon. February and March came and went without new commitments and Jaxson Jones was the last player to commit to the Ducks at the end of January.

That changed on Friday when Oregon landed a verbal commitment from Forney (Tex.) safety Aaron Flowers.

He could be the start of a long string of commitments for Oregon in the spring and even heading into the summer months. Remember, the Ducks will hold their spring game on April 29 and likely bring in their best group of recruits since Dan Lanning was hired.

I'm taking a look at five players that I think could be next to commit to Oregon. Keep in mind, I'm NOT predicting them right now or saying they will commit. They all have different decision timelines, but I'm pretty confident that Oregon leads for these guys.

The talented Washington wide receiver was on campus in Eugene this week and has raved about his relationship with Junior Adams every time I've spoken with him. Lanning and Adams made him feel like part of the team during his trip and the staff has put in a lot of work here.

Keep in mind the Ducks have recruited players from FSP (Ford Sports Performance) like Troy Franklin, Keith Brown and Caleb Presley in the past. I know Presley flipped to Washington late, but the point is the Ducks are very well connected here. They're also recruiting Durant's FSP teammate Brayden Platt.

Durant will visit Oregon State this weekend as the Beavers are one of two main competitors for Oregon here along with UCLA.

Elijah Rushing

Oregon has been linked to one of the nation's top edge rushers since before Dan Lanning was head coach. Long-standing relationships in Eugene have paid off as the Ducks remain at the forefront of his recruitment with nearly 40 offers to his name.

The chance to play for both Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi is part of what makes the appeal so strong here and the Ducks have made the state of Arizona a major priority in recruiting. He'll be in Eugene for the spring game when Oregon hosts a serious collection of elite recruits.

Nate Frazier

Frazier is still working on reaching his full potential, but even so he's already a FREAKY talent coming out of the backfield for Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.

Fortunately for the Ducks they realized that and got in early with an offer last fall. He took a recent trip to Nebraska and absolutely loved what he saw from the Cornhuskers.

Tennessee and Alabama will get visits this month but the Ducks have stayed involved and he wants to get back to Eugene soon.I'm pretty confident that he's Carlos Locklyn's number one running back target in 2024 and we know Locklyn is as good of a relationship builder as you'll find on any staff in college football.

Mothudi was offered by Oregon in January and he took his first trip to Eugene last month. He's become a priority for Tosh Lupoi and Dan Lanning in recent months and Brian Michalowski is involved as well. His Oregon visit blew him away and is part of the reason I believe the Ducks sit in the driver's seat here.

Nebraska, Cal, Utah and Arizona keep in frequent contact and Mothudi took a trip to Washington last weekend. Still, it feels like Oregon checks all the boxes and they can strengthen their standing in his recruitment when he returns to Eugene for the spring game.

I have predicted Mothudi to commit to Oregon.

Dylan Williams

Dylan Williams de-committed from USC in the fall and I think Oregon has led since then. What makes this one interesting is that nearly every school in the country has come calling with an offer, which means the Ducks have plenty of competition.

Williams dropped his top seven earlier this week and has locked in official visits to Michigan and Texas so far. An official to Miami is likely and you can bet the Ducks will get one as well. I expect him to be back on campus this spring.

The staff has dominated recruiting defensive talent out of Southern California and Williams can help ensure that trend continues.
