Oregon isn't wasting any time prioritizing top targets on the recruiting trail.

On Tuesday, 2025 Duncanville (Tex.) wide receiver Dakorien Moore will visit Oregon alongside 2024 5-star edge rusher and teammate Colin Simmons.

Ducks Digest caught up with Moore at OT7 in Huntington Beach to get the latest in his recruitment.

The 6-foot, 180-pound pass catcher already has 34 reported scholarship offers but he's taking the process slow.

"Right now some of the schools are picking up wanting to contact me, getting close to that date where we can actually contact them more and more. Some of the coaches getting active with it right now."

Even with so many schools in the picture, he's had the most contact with a smaller group lately.

"I'd say Oregon, Texas, USC a little bit," he said. "TCU because it's right down the street. It's not hard to get to them. But right now that's really it."

Moore made it out to USC over the weekend and spoke about other trips he's hoping to take.

"I'm definitely trying to get back to LSU. I'm trying to get down to Ohio State, 'Bama probably. Going back and forth--Texas--we're just trying to get the recruitment started."

The Ducks hosted him for a visit in the spring and they'll get another chance to make a strong impression this week. One of the best in the Lone Star State said Junior Adams and the vibe in Eugene are some of the main reasons he's interested in Oregon.

"The fact that he wants to talk to me. He wants to make me better. Even if I don't go to their school he wants me to be great anywhere I go. He wants to see what's best for me.

"Just the vibes in general when I go down there. They show love with my family, with my Mom, whoever I bring down there. They're gonna welcome them just like it's me. It's all family and all love down there."

Moore offered additional details on Texas and USC, two other schools that have his attention early.

On Texas

"They're down the street. I'm in Dallas with it so that's not too far. That's family. My family grew up right there in Austin as a Longhorn, so you know I gotta represent the same way. Family-oriented. Johntay Cook is up there. He's spitting me a little game, telling me what they got up there and stuff like that. I'm trying to see what they got."

On USC interest

"When Lincoln Riley was at OU he was showing a lot of interest in me. He wants me back and forth. He wants to see the communication level, if I really wanted to be around him. So as soon as they got to USC, boom they threw it (offer) because he wanted me to be on his roster. No matter where he goes he wants me to be on their roster. I gotta show him love."

As he travels throughout the country taking visits, he isn't looking for anything in particular just yet.

"Right now it's nothing specifically that I'm looking for. I'm just seeing what every school got to offer. I'm talking to my Mom and we're making decisions."

An updated group of top schools could be the next step in his recruitment.

"I might throw some schools together," Moore said. "I don't know yet I'm still thinking about it. In my head, I'm not gonna give it to y'all, but I definitely got a top schools right now."
