PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have climbed even further up national polls this week. After topping Wake Forest and North Carolina in consecutive games, they earned their highest vote total of the season in the Associated Press Top 25 poll this week.

The Panthers earned 26 votes in the latest poll, almost triple the nine votes they earned in last week's poll, which was a season-high at the time. Their 26 votes were the 30th-most of any team who received one.

Three ACC teams - No. 8 Virginia, No. 19 Miami and No. 23 NC State - were ranked in the top-25 and two others - Duke (87 votes) and Clemson (31 votes) were ranked in anyone's polls. The Panthers hold a 3-0 record against teams ranked in the poll this week.
