PITTSBURGH -- The NBA released a full list of early entrants to the NBA Draft process and a former Pitt Panther is among the 242 players that filed as early candidates.

Ithiel Horton, a 6'5 guard from Vauxhall, New Jersey who spent three seasons with the Panthers after transferring from Delaware, was one of those players. Horton joins Blake Hinson as the only other current or former Panthers to enter the draft process early.

Horton averaged 9.2 points on 37% shooting from 3-point range, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while with Pitt. Horton transfered to UCF following his suspension-shortened 2021-22 season in which he played just 13 games. He averaged 12.3 points and 3.7 rebounds while making 35% of his 3-pointers and 83% of his free throws in 2022-23 with the Knights.

Prior to Pitt, Horton enjoyed a decorated career at Delaware that included All-Colonial Athletic Association Tournament honors and All-Freshman Team honors in 2019.
