PITTSBURGH -- Fresh off a run to the Eastern Conference Finals with the Boston Celtics, former Pitt Panthers forward Justin Champagnie was back in the Petersen Events Center to get more work in and begin preparations for the next season.

While he was back in his college gym, Champagnie ran into one of his old teammates and coaches, plus two current Panthers that are also preparing for crucial seasons themselves. Together, Champagnie, Jason Capel, Jorge Diaz-Graham, Blake Hinson and William Jeffress all hit the floor at the Petersen Events Center to work out.

This isn't the first time Champagnie's visited Pittsburgh at the end of his professional season - he came back to the Steel City last summer after his season in the NBA G League had ended.

He opened this past season in the G League again, where he was once again one of the best players in the whole system, and was signed to an NBA contract with the Celtics in April.

Champagnie appeared in two games for Boston during the regular season, averaging 2.5 points and two rebounds per game and also appeared in four playoff games this spring.
