Former NC State OL Visits Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are looking to bolster their offensive line through the transfer portal this offseason and that has led them to a transfer player from inside the ACC.
Lyndon Cooper, a 6'5 and 315-pound swing center and guard from NC State, is on a visit to Pitt this weekend, according to a report from Pittsburgh Sports Now's Karl Ludwig.
Marshall, Georgia State, East Carolina, Louisville and USF have reached out to extend offers. Pitt has as well.
Cooper was a projected starter at left guard going into the 2023 season for NC State but an injury sidelined him for the opener against UConn and he fell out of the rotation before returning to a starting role later in the season and eventually taking over as the starting center for a game. He played just 13 snaps over the final five games of the regular season.
Cooper posted a grade of 49.1, according to Pro Football Focus, which is the third lowest of any Wolfpack player with 100 or more snaps.
