Former Pitt Assistant Promoted at Boston College
PITTSBURGH -- With a coaching shake-up headed to Boston College, a former Pitt Panthers assistant coach is getting a better title.
Jonathan DiBiaso, who had helped coach quarterbacks at Pitt before departing for a new job with the Eagles, is being promoted in the Boston College staff to full-time quarterbacks coach, according to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel.
DiBiaso departed Pitt quietly last summer and has been working a graduate assistant at Boston College ever since. He had worked for now-former Eagles head coach Jeff Hafley.
He acted as the right-hand man to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti and occupied a very hands-on role coaching Pitt's quarterbacks. He was also one of the program's primary recruiters in New England, where they've been active looking for new talent over the past couple of years.
DiBasio has previous coaching experience at Vanderbilt in addition to Pitt and now Boston College.
He'll see the Panthers again when they travel north to face the Eagles this season in Week 12.
