PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will be seeing more of Ric'Darius Farmer but it won't be because he's joining their latest recruiting class.

In fact, the former four-star recruit and one-time Pitt commit announced that he had flipped his commitment for the second time and would join rival West Virginia to begin his college career next year.

Farmer was the second 2024 prospect give a verbal commitment to the Panthers, way back on Christmas Day in 2022, but he flipped to UCF his past summer and has now flipped again to a school in the same conference.

The consensus four-star prospect held other offers from South Florida, Penn State, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Miami, Texas A&M, Missouri, Purdue, Minnesota, Michigan State, Virginia and others, but has ultimately chosen the Mountaineers.

Farmer is ranked as high as the No. 31 player in Florida and No. 40 wide receiver in the class of 2024.

The Panthers added just one wideout - three-star Cameron Monteiro - with their 2024 recruiting class after bringing in five (four freshmen and one transfer) during the 2023 cycle.
