PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will boast two of the biggest athletic "freaks" on their roster this coming season.

The Atheltic's college football insider Bruce Feldman released his annual list of the 101 College Football "Freaks" and a pair of Panthers - cornerback A.J. Woods and wide receiver Bub Means - cracked the list.

Feldman clocked Means in at No. 36 and praised Means' blend of power and speed. His offseason workout regimen has resulted in some impressive numbers.

"In 2019, he began his college career as a defensive back at Tennessee, then he transferred to Louisiana Tech, where he emerged as a big-play receiver," Feldman wrote. "He transferred again, landing at Pitt, where he caught 27 passes for 401 yards (14.9-yard average) and two touchdowns. The former three-star recruit is now 6-2, 215 pounds and clocked a 4.36 40 this offseason. He vertical-jumped 39 inches and squatted over 500 pounds."

Woods, who checked in at No. 85 on the Freaks List, also impressed Feldman with his speed and he doesn't want fans to forget about Woods, even as he plays in a crowded corner room at Pitt.

"The 5'11, 195-pound senior led the Panthers with 13 pass breakups last year," Feldman wrote. "He also made 28 tackles, two tackles for loss, and had one interception. Woods clocked a 4.28 40 this offseason and has run 23 MPH and vertical-jumped 36 inches. Woods joins Marquis Williams and M.J. Devonshire to give the Panthers a terrific cornerback group."
