PITTSBURGH -- For the seventh time this week and sixth time in a single day, the Pitt Panthers have lost a defensive player to the transfer portal.

Defensive end Nate Temple became the latest Panther to reveal his intention to enter the transfer portal. He's the second Pitt defensive lineman to make this move, joining Deandre Jules, who announced his move about an hour before Temple did.

Temple played in 11 games and started eight in 2023. He recorded 26 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He appeared in 26 total games as a Panther on special teams and at defensive end.

The Panthers have already lost two starters to the transfer portal, making Temple the third. Linebacker Bangally Kamara and defensive tackle Deandre Jules both made their transfer decisions public this week as well.
